Gluek Honey Bock (7.7/10)
Derek 8 Comes in cans, is only $10 a case, and is awesome. The best cheap beer around ... if you live in Minnesota. So I only get to drink it when Josh visits. Gluek's honey Box is dark, light, sort of sweet, smooth, and is 5.8% alcohol. Comparable to Amberbock, with a hint of honey.
Nehru 8 It has been a long, long time since I enjoyed a beer this good out of a can. What a great beer, too bad it so hard to come by. If you are in Minnesota sometime and see this on the shelf, for god's sake buy me a case. I will pay you back.
Nick 7 well, everything about the name of this beer made me think i wouldn't like it...not sure what gluek is, don't really like honey in beer...it wasn't bad though, definitely something i would drink if i lived in minnesota...i'm not quite gonna join the big circle jerk over this beer, but i would not throw this beer back at you if you handed me one

8 This brew is made in the small town of Cold Spring, MN at Gluek Brewing Company. At the liquor stores in MN, you can put a 10-dollar bill on the counter and walk out with a case of this stuff.

8.5 This is the top shelf of canned beers. There is no comparison anywhere. You open a can and you can actually smell the sweet scent of honey. If you judge it on taste, alcohol content, and price. I'd give it a 10. Unfortunately I also include accessibility and that is what brought it down. It's too far away for me to enjoy regularly but maybe that's part of the allure. Pour it into a beer mug at Greenwood Lounge or Ebenzer's Frogs and you might think you're in England somewhere.

9.5 Excellent taste, high alcohol content, low hangover consequences. However, Gluek found a slimy way to raise the price by about FORTY PERCENT!! They quit selling it by the case (which has been $10 to $11) and now it is only available in a 12-pack for about $7. Still a great price, but it used to be a FABULOUS price....

9 Not to worry, Gluek Fans. Honey Bock is still available by the case - I am not sure where Jeff Anderson gets his information, but I just bought a case 2 days ago in Redwood Falls, MN and I know it's still available by the case in Morgan, MN.

9 Very good beer I live in Minnesota so I have access to it, I also have a family member that works at the brewery (lucky me). Gluek is brewed in a area of Minnesota where most peoples background is about 100% German. The meaning of the word Gluek is LUCK!

8.5 This is not bad. Danny Gladden keeps hocking it on the radio during Twins Games so I decided to buy it. I had Stite Light before (also made by Gluek) and it was awful however Honey Bock is pretty good. You can still get it in a case. I just bought a 24 pack of it here in Moorhead, MN for $10

9 While spending more than 20 yrs in the military the chance to frequent and sample European beers was the best of pleasures. Now I reside in western Pa and have tried to duplicate the Bavarian ferver with no great luck. During a visit to a friends home here dropped in on a local beer distibutor and was awarded a sample of Gluek Honey Bock...needless to say I found myself captivated by the feeling of resting at a mountain guest house somewhere in the Bavarian Alps. The taste was sweet though tart, the palate was a smooth honey roast of cranberry and the finish could have matched the finest bock beers of Europe. Thank you for finding Pennsylvania.

This is the best garage beer, ever. It is a heavy amber with a bit of honey and yes, it has a high alcohol content so don't drink and drive.

8 This beer is best consumed at a temp right around 40F. The warmer temp brings out the best flavor in this beer. Resist drinking at the lite beer temps of just above freezing, and please do NOT use a chilled glass, it will ruin the flavor. Except for the craft beers Cold Spring brews the Gluek Honey Bock is their best.

8 My retailer just told me they were going to quit making it. Tell me it's not so. What I save a month not buying Newcastle anymore pays for our food!

Price pushes it to a solid 8.

8.5 I picked this up for $5.99 at Silver Lake Liquor in Rochester. Seems to pack a little more punch than most honey bocks. If you're a cheapskate like me... this is the best beer for the money. A 12er for $6? That's a McD's value meal! It's this or Natural Ice... what would you pick?

8 Imagine, a cheap beer that actually tastes good! I just picked up my first case today. Good taste, great price ($11.99). This will be my new brand for strong "American style" beers. Classic Light ($13.99 per 30/pack) is my light beer choice (tastes like water, but that's better than some cheap beers), Summit Extra Pale Ale is my favorite (year-round) craft beer.

9 I picked up a case of Gluek Honey Bock and was very surprised with the price $10.99 and the taste! Not harsh like more expensive dark beers Tastes almost like a light beer with a kick!!!! I'm going back to buy as much as I can get!

9 Parents' cabin is in St Joe near cold spring so I bought this on a whim because of the price and because I like some of the tap beers they brew for Gluek's downtown Minneapolis. Very pleasantly surprised. Smooth and tasty. A touch of sweetness with plenty of alcohol. Not just for drinking games after all!

9 I'm very unhappy with Cold spring over discontinuing this. WHen I heard about it I went out and drove all over hell buying every case I could find. They havent distributed it for 4 months now and I still have 27 cases of it. Gluek was my favorite beer of all time and it will be a sad day when I drink the last can.
