6.5 | A thin but very drinkable "porter" despite the advertisement as an ale. Nice color and even a nice aroma - but way too subtle for my taste. The taste is sweet without too much balance. Has a nice hoppy aftertast. |

6.5 | "Way too subtle" is right. There seems to be an overall tendency toward smoothness over robust flavor in the beers around Denver. For me-Boulder Beer is the one that epitomizes this and actually pulls it off. |
